six george washingtons

yup, that's right.  we only had six dollars each......but that's the fun of it.  *wink*

going to a thrift store with only a few bucks in your pocket.  nothing like a fun challenge every now and then.

today, em and i chose to patronize the Police Athletic League "Resale Store".

(i put "resale store" in quotes because it's just another name for "thrift shop" in my book ;)

contrary to popular belief, you can find some amaaazing stuff in your neighborhood thrift store!
it's the truth.

trench coats happen to be da bommmb!

reasons to shop at thrift stores

1} you can save a ton of $$$
2} it helps to boost your local economy
3} it's fun...like a treasure hunt!
4} you can feel safe...because chuck norris might just be there.  watching over you.  with his huge gun.

there are so many lovely vintage, framed photos you can find.
i happen to like birds.....and ducks.  a lot.

 lampshades find a new purpose.

i have a bit of a thing for unique tea/coffee mugs.  this one went home with me, for  fifty cents.
FITTYCENTS, YO!

 vintage coke bottles

thennnnn, we went into the bathroom to "try on some clothes"...which turned out to be way too much fun.

em's awesome-amazing shoes....which were purchased at another thrift shop.  ;)

i really couldn't help it...this skirt was calling my name from the rack...it made me!
so i bought it.  i think it'll look great with some tights and a pair of flats.

my poor jeans.  they never had a chance!

*cue the spontaneous bathroom photo-shooting*

i'll post later about the items we actually brought home...and how many george washingtons we each spent.
until then my friends, happy thrifting!
